Exclamation I need a piece of brass

In need a piece of brass approx 3 x 3 x 7/16. Edges can be rough cut - I don't care what grade it is - can even b cast. Tis only going 2 b a mounting plate 4 a magneto. And yeah I tried a lot of metal vendors and they all want 2 sell me a foot long bar at a ridiculas price! So dig around in yer scrap pile mates and leme know what ya find.

1/2 will work fine. Can't b copper, has 2 b brass 2 match the original part. This is 4 a magneto adapter plate. Maggy bolts 2 this piece which in turn bolts 2 the bracket on my Kelly & Lewis engine. The original was cast brass and someone dropped the maggy - adapter plate is all bent out of shape now. Easy enough 2 make another though if I could just buy a small piece of material and not a whole bar.

Try Reliable bronze in Cambridge MN, They produce bushings for Mcmaster. They have got me some weird stuff through the years.

Lightbulb Re: I need a piece of brass

I have lots of 660 Bearing Bronze and 954 (Ampco) Aluminum Bronze rectangle stock if this would work. Just so you know, I also have solid rounds and tube stock available in Bronze and Cast Iron. In fact, I have some Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Copper and Brass too.
