When I was at the National Threshers show at Wauseon, Ohio this year I saw some scaled down Baker traction engines. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owners so my question is does anyone know if there are drawings available for a Baker engine or did these people just scale them down from a full sized engine?

I've seen a couple half scale Bakers. One was made by Dick Smith, I believe he is on this forum but I don't remember his screen name. His son is on here too and his screen name is KG1584. The engine has it's own website that shows the construction:
http://www.steamsmith.com/ As far as I know he scaled down from a full size engine. There is another Baker, I believe a 5/8 scale owned by Jonas Stutzman. I don't know his contact info but maybe some else can provide it. |
