Need value estimate

I have been offered the purchase of these two engine models. I need to know an estimated value before I purchase. The gentleman offering these for sale is in his nineties, and said that the larger engine used to be shipped all over the country as a model to demonstrate the use of steam converted to electricity. The shipping crate is under the engine.

If you have any idea as to the value of these engines, I would greatly appreciate your advice.

Pricing model engines is very subjective. It would help to know the size of the power plant model. It looks like a Stuart boiler but I'm not sure of the engine. The other one looks like it could be a German model. There are quite a few on Ebay. Just go to Toys and Hobbies/models and type in steam engines. My guess on the power plant outfit would be a starting price of $300.00 but as far as how much beyond that it depends how much you want it. It looks like it needs a thorough going over. If the other one is infact a German engine and is quite old it could start around $300.00 also.
