I seriously doubt there is a kit available for this. Those guys usually mill everything from billet using re-scaled factory drawings or "reverse engineer" it by taking their own measurements from a full sized tractor.

I have seen 4 different model JD's. 3 D's and one A. All four were done by the owners, 3 were cast and one was done from bar stock. A freind of mine also built a Model D power unit from bar stock, it is 1/4 scale.

Here are a few JD models. The first one is a JD A built by Don Comstock from Potlach Idaho. He had his engines on display and Rollag this year.
![]() This one is built By Jerry Keiffer. You can find more out about this tractor by visiting the internet craftsmanship museum site. http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/ Jerry has displayed this tractor at the Estevan Model Engineering show a couple of times. It is a real beauty!!!!! It is absolutley correct right down to the number and size of holes in the aircleaner! ![]() This JD GP tractor was built by Arvid Miller from Ogden Iowa. It was on display at Rollag this year as well. He uses the JD combine 2 cylinder engine and makes a oil sump to mount to the side of the engine so he can lay it down. Again a very nice little tractor that you can ride and drive in a parade if you wish. ![]() A fellow by the name of George Scott from Outlook Mt had developed a set of castings for a JD D power unit. I know some guys used those engine castings to build a tractor but I don't have any photos. George passed away a number of years ago and a limited number of casting kits where sold. One of these engines is at the LeSueurr Minnesota show driving a miniature grain cleaner that he also built. Kelly T |
