Have a Wisconsin TRA10D single cylinder cast iron engine on a Bush Hog garden tractor & like to date the engine to approximate year of tractor. The engine serial # is 4308153. A year of manufacture would be GREATLY appreciated!
Expect it's a late 60's or 70 model. Cannot find any info to date the tractor itself, Bush Hog Corp. can't even help.-----------Daniel in ky |

The following website says this "TRA-10D 3-1/8 x 2-5/8 10.1 HP @ 3600rpm made 1964-1976 Originally designed for tractor applications. "
From this website: http://www.asecc.com/data/wisconsin-models.html I hope this helps. |

Thanks for reply JK, but I'm hoping for an exact YOM. I've seen that page, but doesn't home in on my tractor year. Hard to find info on these puppies.

Yes, been there too, but seems nearly impossible to date these things. Best guesses are just that. My best chance is dating the engine. Year of tractor will likely be the same as YOM of engine, or the following year. I started my own Yahoo group for Bush Hog tractors as the other owner is AWOL & no moderator.
Here's the link if soomebody would like to look or join: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bushhog_gardentractors |

Thanks John, I have engine years by serial up to 58, & going by the same difference in numbers during these earlier years, if the spread stayed close to the same, then my engine would be about a 66. Thanks, that does narrow it a bit! BTW, have you done anymore to your IH dozer project?
