Logging in and Cookies

A few users are reporting log-in problems or not staying logged in on Smokstak. This is generally a COOKIE problem as cookies are where your password and Smokstak preferences are stored on your computer.

In fact, I had one user tell me it's OK at work, but at home it's a problem. It's impossible to know exactly what it is but some possibilities are: browsers, browser settings, Internet and security settings, ISP and/or cache issues, firewalls, ad-blockers, spyware, proxies and any other applications that affects Internet content.

There's a lot to this and chances are that you'll need to get help, either from your ISP's help support department or your local computer guru. If you want to wing it on your own, start by cleaning out your temporary internet files. If all else fails, delete the cookie files and start over. Besure that you know ALL of your passwords before you do this.
