drill doctor question


Hi, been looking at the drill dr. . My question is if my larger bits (1/2 - 3/4 ) have 1/2 shanks...

Default drill doctor question

Hi, been looking at the drill dr. . My question is if my larger bits (1/2 - 3/4 ) have 1/2 shanks do i need the larger chuck capacity on the 750 model . Seemed to be the only difference in the 500 and 750 models. I know the dr's been discussed before so sorry if this is redudant. thanks Dennis

Yes, you'll need the larger model. It grips the bit down by the tip, so if you want to sharpen a 3/4" bit, you'll need that bigger one. They're worth their weight in gold, I might add... I've had mine for a few years and I'm sure it's paid for itself a dozen times over!!!
