came across old evenrude # dpho #607 stamped on fly wheel can any one help me further with hp and year patent # shows july 20 1915 -jan 25 1916 .

Are you refering to an outboard ...the model A and B rowboat engines would be of that vintage. Can you post a picture?

With the number 607 would make it 1931 to 1933 at 25hp

the engine i have is a horizontal shaft not much bigger than a 2 cycle lawnboy engine. will try to send picture latter.
