Does anyone know where i can get a 6-volt two charge voltage regulator for a Hercules positive...

Cool 1943 M-5 generator

Does anyone know where i can get a 6-volt two charge voltage regulator for a Hercules positive ground zxb 4-cylinder motor i have the part no. autolite TC-4323-c cant find one anywhere maybe someone out there knows a replacment part or where i can find one, Thanks Kurt

You have the correct part number for the M-5 however TM 9-1616 shows it to be a negative ground system (my unit is a neg ground also). The WW2 Army stock is SNL# F227-1-89500 which may help cross reference to another application.

Kurt,
Is your regulator missing, or is it there, but the generator isn't charging? If it's the latter, it might be the generator instead of the regulator. Might need polarizing to get it going, brushes might be stuck or dirty, or...?? There's also a little fuse in the regulator that could be bad.

HELLO SIR
Ihave a M5 us army ganerator also its all up and running ok but does have some parts missing the problem i have is im not sure where to put the armature and field leads from the battery charging gen the manual says they come from underneath but there no obvious terminals for them .on the regulater there are four leads coming coming off one end and they dont seem to be shown in the manual wiring diagram this is a three phase 3kw gen .
