In About 1993 there was an auction in Beldenville Wis with 7 Oilpulls on it. There was one 15 -25 L, Two 20 - 35 M's one 25 - 45 X, I got the 25 - 45 R, one 30 - 60 S and a 16 - 30 H.
I know where mine is and one 20 - 35 M. Did any stackers get any of the other ones...???? I think the 16 - 30 went to Michigan and the X went to Missouri...???? The 30 - 60 stayed in Wis... I don't know if it's still here or not...????

I was at the auction but did not buy any of the Oil Pulls. A couple unusual things I remember from the auction are:
1. It had a beer tent. 2. When they started the 30-60S the operator had a lit cigerette in his mouth, a can of beer in one hand and a Coke bottle full of gasoline in the other. He would pour a little gas in the carberator as needed to keep the engine running. ![]() What happened to to 80 Case that sold at the auction? I remember you commenting that the front tube sheet was thin. |

Well you see, that was probably the auctioneer's idea for the Beer tent, get them all drunk and they will start spending more money then they have

Well Dan you Sure Can Bring Back memories....
ROFL...The Guy with the Lit Cigarette was Eddies Son Freddy.... Freddy did a Lot more work with his Yap than he ever did with his hands. I Still Remember Freddy saying "We got ALL the Oilpulls from the smallest to the Big One...." He must have thought they made only 6 different models... Freddy Gambled most of the money away after the auction... And he's been gone for several years now.... I remember a Heated Discusion Eddie had with a gentlemen a few years before that had came to see ALL the Oilpulls.... He was saying Where's your 15 - 30 F? Where your 20-40 G? ect... ect.... and Poor old Eddie just stood there... He had Figured all the people that came to his show were Just a Bunch of Hicks that didn't know nuthin...The 80 Case as far as I know sits in a shed about 15 miles south of here and has never been fired up... (Thats probably a Good Thing) The 20 Minnie #8627 went over by Hastings Minn and has never ran in public.... Barrel calculated for about 70 PSI and firebox problems... I can tell you stories about that show that You Don't want to hear.... Freddy got a Beer License for the Auction Just Like he did for the show.... I Had a Great Time at the auction like a LOT of other people....

Yes, Fredie was a colorful charicter, he is the only one that ever colected from the show insurance, after falling into the coal bunker of the steam engine he was running. We sure had a lot of fun over years at that show.

Do you have any photos of the collection, or serial no.'s from the sale listing? I have quite a few serial no.'s of Rumelys in Europe, so it might be possible to trace any that ended up on this side of the pond. All the best David

Well.... David your going to get me Diging.... I don't have any serial numbers. I might have a pic of the 25 - 45 as I bought it.... When I bought that tractor there was a 2 foot long 12 X 12 timber along side of it..... I wondered what that was for???? Well I ran home and got a 2 gallon can and some gas and rigged up a temp fuel supply and cranked her up.. They had ran it with the coke bottle of gas the previous few years.... And just pulled it out for the sale.
Well anyway the first time I tried to put it in gear the clutch would not release.... Well then I started to remember.... That was the tractor that almost Squashed Eddie a few years prior when he was putting it in the shed. It broke off one pole and bulged the tin out some as it would not stop backing up. So they would just grind it in gear then when they wanted to stop just pull the clutch and the assistant would throw the block in front of the back wheel... Needless to say I fixed the clutch before I even tried to load it.... All the Oilpulls except one rusty 20 - 35 were painted a rather Gaudy Shade Of Green with a silver radiator top and the Oilpull did with a cardboard stencil in Silver.... They never did get around to painting the Wheels...???

Well.... It was near Beldenville Wisconsin on Hwy J. It was Called Beldenville Steam Threshing Days... It ran from the late 50's to the early 90's.
Beldenville was about 45 Miles Southwest of Minneapolis/ St. Paul Minnesota....

Here's a pic or two from the auction.... One is of the 25-45 I bought (Notice the Lovely Petrolium Measle arrestor) and 16-30 in background. The one on Rubber is the 25-40 bought new by the Huppert family... And the Rusty one is the 20-35 M that Dick Marcott bought.

Here is a Pic taken at the show about 1971. The Pastell Green tractor is one of the Few remaining 16 - 30 Backwards running Twin Cities. Eddy owned 2 of these at one time. One went to Illinois I believe and the other went to Tony T's show near Spring Valley Minn..
They are going down the row with the belt and starting each one.... Ol Eddie said... "They don't think all these tractors Run... We'll Show 'Em"
