Default Help to identify.

This F-head engine has been cut in 2 pieces, probably 4-cyl in the beginning.I got the best half. But what is it? Manufactury, application?
It has Holley carburetor used on A,T Fords as i understand, head and cylinder
in one unit.Magneto and waterpump is not original.

I found one image at http://wolfe.vsb.bc.ca/autotour/reo2.htm

My brother recently bought a 1918 Reo the Fifth. In a few days I may get some photos of his up.

I think the engine number was on part of the crankcase that is cut off.

Yes thats it so it looks but in 1/2
The marks i have found on my 1/2 fifth is:TA1........TA7 and TA95 on details.
Cylinderhead between exhaustvalves is stamped CWC.Pistons inside can i read Lynite.
I wonder if they cut these engines before shipping to other countries or should i search in Sweden after the other part?

/Peter

Peter N, just curious, does that bronze water pump have "Oberdorfer Pumps" cast on the cover? If it does, I would appreciate some closeup photos of it and any history you have on it. We could add it to our old pump display case at work (Oberdorfer Pumps, Syacuse, N.Y.). THANKS PT

Peter N, can't tell you anything about Kermath pumps. Kermath was big in the marine engine business so maybe your engine was used to replace a Kemath and they reused the pump. Sorry I can't tell you more. PT

Peter, this engine is from a 1914 model J Reo truck that a friend of mine is restoring. The engine runs good, never been stuck. It appears to be the same as yours, only all there. I have a few more pictures and can get more closer/detailed if you want and would be happy to email them to you. PT

Well it's Memorial Day and the 1914 Reo Model J is ready to go to the parade in nearby Navarino, NY. After a winters work, the truck is looking pretty good. I watched them drive out of the yard this morning and headed for the parade, was good to see it back on the road. PT
