Default Copies of Model Engine Plans

If anyone has some they would like copied, I am willing to copy them, and also digitize them into adobe .pdf files (I have the prints reduced to 11 X 17 if necessary and scan them into the computer) and send them back to you. Obviously I will keep a copy, but I am just trying to accumulate as many different engine plans as I can to keep them from being lost to posterity. For example, I have a partial set of plans for one of Ervin's Engines, so am looking for a complete set to copy. I do not want to infringe on any copyrights, so keep that in mind. Just thought I would offer.

-Jim

That size is no problem. I just go to Kinko's, use their largest copier, which is actually a scanner, and it will copy that size in one pass and reduce it to whatever size I need. If you would like to get some of those digitized (I know I would love to have copies - always wanted a traction engine!), I'd be willing to try. I have copied 2 X 3 feet plans there and, I think, they could take up to a 4-1/2 to 5 foot wide original. Length is not important as the machine will feed it through until it has scanned the entire length. I am sure there is a limit, but a 3 X 4 plan would not approach it.

Farmall, did you ever get a set of plans for the Lil' Brother hit & mis engine model? If so how could I get an electronic copy from you?
Thanks

I had sent Jim a set of drawings of my Case baler a couple of weeks back. He sent me a check and requested several other sets of drawings that I have done. I emailed him with the information and since then have not heard from him. I emailed him again just to see what was going on and have not had a reply.

I had computer issues but am up and running again! Yes, I have the L'il Brother drawings in .pdf format.....was done before I could get the sizes reduced to make it one page per page, so I had to make 2-3 copies of a single page to get all the drawings, so several of them overlap, but all dimensions and drawings are complete. The .pdf file for the L'il Brother is 2 MB (it's 18 pages worth), so I'd have to burn a CD and mail it.

Mr. Britnell, I have sent you an email about the drawings. I have lost your address and need them to send the $$.

Farmall, being new to this group, I don't know what the protocol is to keep personal data from being harvested by spammers.
I would very much appreciate the plans either snail mail or email. I did send an email to you asking if you could email the pdf files to me. I did give my email address in this hoping it could only be viewed by you. (as I have learned that public forums are harvested).
I acquired the casting kit (partially machined) via a friends fathers estate, where the plans were missing. The hard parts are left, valves, push rods, ignition, carborator, and without the plans I could only guess as to how to complete this.
What is the lowest entropy effort for you?

Thanks

Steve,
I'm sorry I wasn't more specific. I didn't mean that the engine model wasn't any good, I meant dealing with the gentleman who wants the drawings.
