Forrest A.: I just spent 15 minutes enjoying those videos of solenoid engines. Especially the side shaft Mogul one . Any plans to share plans? Looks like a fun thing to do in one's spare time . THANKS

I really like that hit-miss electric engine you got Forrest A! It looks like it's a pretty neat runner. Here's some engine videos I got posted on there.

Forrest- I saw some of your engines at Darlington and talked with you there quite a few years ago. If memory serves me correctly, I was thinking that the engines that you had at that time had been built by your father, and he had passed away not too long before you showed the engines at Darlington. Perhaps I am mistaken, but I was thinking that was the case. Anyway, I know that you have been quite active with making engines since I talked to you at that show several years back. For people like me that have ancient computers with only a 16 Meg video card and slow dial-up internet service, could you possibly post some photographs??? I'm not able to watch the videos on my prehistoric computer, and I would love to see pictures of your model engines.

Here's a link to the u-tube movie of my 1/3rd scale drag saw. It consists of a Tochtrop Economy engine (casting kit by Joe Tochtrop of San Francisco, CA) powering a Bruce Moyer's Models Drag Saw:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU2AnP2Ji4s

The kit of castings for the drag saw is marketed by Wismer Machine of Sellersville, PA.

Enjoy!

All,

Here are photos that are posted on a popular tool site.

No my father didn't build any of the solenoid motors, I started making them when I was 11.

I do have a 2HP Novo that my father had and when he died I got it from the estate.

Anyone that wants to see a really nice small show, go to Darlington WI show the weekend following labor day weekend. Saturday is the best day, stay for the antique tractor (stone boat) pull in the evening.

Iron man, I probably would recognize you if I saw you again.

Forrest, the show sounds like a good time & hopefully someday I'll make it out that way to go to some. Some of those smaller shows are the best ones to go to.

nar,

I know who you are, talked to you at NAMEs several times. It took a minute or two to figure that out... I need to do Portland for sure!
