You will be better pleased to deal with Americam Model Engineering Supply INC. They ARE in business to help the modeling community.
Ron and Barbara Hankins are the owners and you will speak directly with one or the other. They have supplied other distributors in the past like one previously mentioned in the thread. You will get what you order not an excuse. I have no connection with this company, I am simply a very satisfied repeat customer. Their phone is (850)729-8549 Fax (850) 729-8579 Address 890 Valastics Ave. Valparaiso FL. 32580 Sorry I don't know about a website I call them on the phone they ship out the same/next day. Coles hasn't done this in ten years and I was a customer 20 years ago. Give American Model your Business. They are the best I've experienced since Fred Ellis blew himself up (power model supply) We all miss him. Go get-r-done. Andy |

Invest in a set of quality taps and dies and make your own. Just buy hex bar stock. I always have right size. Go to your local model RR & RC airplane store/swap meets. Google: Small parts Co., Micro Mark.

Make Em yourself!!!
"Invest in a set of quality taps and dies and make your own. Just buy hex bar stock. I always have right size. Go to your local model RR & RC airplane store/swap meets. Google: Small parts Co., Micro Mark. Forrest A." Rip apart some old elctronic stuff! Lots of small hex shaped standoffs, and nuts and stuff that can re-machined to suit. Hex stock..... Invest in a set of collet blocks (they aren't that expensive). Remember, YOU ARE A MODELMAKER! Scale hardware is the icing on the cake! Good luck! Eric |

I don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..................You must really have a high fever to make ALL of your hardware! I make some of the special stuff but when it comes to needng any quantity I buy mine. Usually Miniature power products in windsor Ontario for BA stuff and I am sure any of the other suppliers will help you out!
Kelly T PS I did have a fellow come to the Estevan Model Engineering show that made his own bolts .009 dia and 354 threads per inch! He needed 9 of them for his corliss! Heres a picture of the bolt nut and wrench. I did a very poor job of removing his name! sorry! ![]() Heres one of the valve gear.

Hi Kelly T.
The pictures you posted are of scale corlis steam engine that was made by Jerry Kiefer , he is a master model builder. A few years ago at the Names show he dumped the same thing in my wifes hand and gave her a magnify glass, so she could see the parts better. He gave us the same stats on the parts, than told us that some of the screws in the corlis were 1/2 that size. Every part in the engine is to scale. even the tiny oilers work. The engine runs on about 4 lbs. of air. You can see more pictures in the Sherline Lathe Catalog , Of Jerrys other models. James K. Gehringer. |

That's correct! I have posted other pictures of Jerrys work in this form before. Like you say more can be seen on the Craftsmanship museum site. He is truely a craftsman!
