Hi,
I recently purchased an engine that I assume was a Hercules. The serial number is 3169 and the model number is XK, 1 3/4 hp. As I am cleaning it up, I am finding red paint. Could it be possible I have an Economy instead? Thanks everybody for all responses and thanks Harry. Fred |

I would be pretty sure it is an Economy. The red paint is the first clue. Secondly, about 90% of the model XK were the Economy brand.
