Red face Flywheel Sears Craftsman 3600 generator

I need a flywheel for a Sears Craftsman portable 3600 watt generator. The generator model is #580-328-340. The sears part number for the flywheel is #191-65189. The numbers stamped on the flywheel are #4192, ff5944, 861008, 3M82396S. Sears no longer carries these parts. Does anyone know where I could find one? Ron

Can you post a picture or two? Being 3600 watt the engine is most likily a Tecumseh H-70 or HM-70 and I may have a flywheel that would work. I have several older Tecumseh flywheels, most from blown-up vertical riding lawn mower engines that have a starter ring. If you can use a flywheel with a starter ring it is very easy to add a starter for electric start. I did this for my Fathers HM100 (10 HP ) Tecumseh on his 5000 watt generator. If you can not use the starter ring and the flywheel I have will work we can always remove the starter ring.

Ron-

This may not be much help, but the "580" in the Sears model number is their source code for Generac portable generator group, now owned by Briggs & Stratton.

I checked parts & model at the Sears web site for 580.328340. The engine is a Kawasaki Model FG300-DSX, Sears part number 65189. I wonder if they have an entire engine in stock?
