Question Info. needed, on Matthew clarke(clarke engineering)

I ordered some raw castings from a Matthew guy clarke/ clarke engineering of
Weldon,Iowa. I paid for them over a year ago and I have not received any parts.
So I was wondering if anyone knows how to contact him? . I did talk to him once and he said he was moving and would try to get my parts sent soon, I tried calling after that but his phone was no longer in service. Did I get scammed or what happened?. Thanks for any help, Nathan.

Unfortunately, you probably have been had. I ordered a completed engine from him approximately 8 years ago, when he first advertised in GEM. Paid in full, I was told I would have engine in about 4 months, as he was taking orders, and was going to make a bunch at the same time. Not long after, he moved. He has since moved (or said he was moving), at least 5 times. I am still waiting for either a refund (promised 5 years ago), or my finished engine. About 4 years gao, he offered a Mogul engine and a few others, for sale in GEM, supposedly to get money to pay back the people he owed, for unfinished orders. I hope the people who supposedly bought the engines, actually got them, I know I didn't see a dime! He has an ad on another web site, (the Davis model engine site) and I warned the webmaster about his activity. A warning has since been posted, and I believe the address listed is no longer valid. Last contact I had, was about a year ago. He still did not have either my money, nor the engine, but he wanted to stop by my house to see my engine collection I told him to bring cash, never showed at meeting place. Has anyone else had dealings with him? How did you pay? If you sent Postal MO, maybe you have a chance to get your money back, but don't hold your breath! I do not have current contact info, the phone # he called me from has been disconnected.

I usually don't bash people, and this is not really the place for it, but sometimes a scammer is a scammer, and if I can help prevent someone else from losing their money, then so be it. By the way, I lost about $800 at the time.

Andrew
