Well I'm a few days late posting this, but here are the up dated serial number lists of the waterloo gasoline engine co, Again if anyone has an engine they would like to add I'd like to hear from you. Also I'm sure there are a few things that may not be 100% accurate. So if you see something that may need to be changed let me know.Greg.

I think the first Eaton engine is on the 1909 list. If any of you guys in Canada or over seas have any engines you would like add I'll put an * after the number so we know the engine is some where other than the states. It would be interesting to see how many there may be, Greg.

It looks like the boys at waterloo were on overtime in this time period. Alot of different contract engines. When you look at the listings you get the feeling that sometimes a single engine taged as whatever was produced and at other times blocks of them say 10 or more were taged the same. Greg.

While conversing with Dick Weber on the waterloo uniteds he noticed that the heyday for them was in the 1912-1913 period. But theres one on the list for 1915 and one for 1916. Possibly the united folks went back to WGE Co. to supply them with engines from time to time??? Or maybe WGE Co. offered some engines cheap to take the business back from the Asscoiated folks???? Kind'a interesting.Greg.

It looks a big portion of WGE CO.s business is from the Majestic folks. Still a few Eaton's mixed in. Not as many numbers on record now. Greg

You can see the type h engines here with a few jd's mixed in. I'm not into keeping jd numbers but will have to start I guess. that may help determain how many h's and k's are still out there.Greg

Here's a list of odd ball serial numbers and also a list of footnotes. Some of you guys may have an engine on the list or one thats not on it. If you do and you would like to add a footnote because of something unusual let me know. Greg.

Here's the list of waterloo contract engines and a list of the years produced. You'll need this in order for the following lists to make sence. If you ,, print these off then you'll have them, along with the following posts. I was having trouble posting them so Harry changed some things and made it possible to post these. Thanks Harry. I could only post two at a time though so there's a few posts to get through to get all of the information.I hope you waterloo engine enthusiasts enjoy this,, At the very least it makes for good reading.Greg.

Greg,
You have my contract engine listed ... 114,281. It has 3 1/2" bore& 5" stroke no tag but ser.# stamped on end of crank. Original paint(red) & Jaeger Machine Company decal. Speed control lever is stamped steel & moves in horizontal plane instead of the more common vertical, cast lever. |

Thanks to you guys who have replied with your serial numbers. Also thanks Doug for identifing your Jaeger. I put a footnote on it with the info you gave me. I have a couple of big chiefs that have the speed lever like yours. I don't think they had them like that for to long. Greg.
