Default Price increases and other ramblings

Well, it is that time of year again, everybody is getting ready for the new show season, and stocking up on supplies. In today's mail I got a notice of a HUGE price increase on the more popular PM Research kits, which took effect on April 19th. Stuart Models raised their prices almost 10% in February and the exchange rate is in the toilet, so they'll probably go up even more. I fully expect that the Mamod and Wilesco engines will go up May 1. AND the American Beauty gas engine kit will be available again soon...probably by May 1 (yay!!) but his foundry cost has trebled, so the price will probably be significantly higher as well...double

I don't like price increases any more than you guys do. It hurts sales, and it makes it harder for me to keep a decent inventory. The manufacturers can't operate at a loss, so there is no easy answers short of just throwing in the towel. Anyway, Just thought I'd give you all a heads up.

Red face Re: Price increases and other ramblings

With the price of gas headed for $3 a gallon, attendance by vendors and show buffs will be down as well, I bet
