Default Leroi 450 V8 bore x stroke ?

Can anyone tell me the bore x stroke of the Leroi 450 CID V8, and if it is a flathead ( aka L head or side valve ) or if it is an OHV ( overhead valve ).

I don't remember a Leroi 450 V-8 but did you transpose the first two numbers? There was a 540 V-8 truck engine used by Autocar. They were overhead valve engines.

Yes, Leroi 540 CID V8, sorry about the typo. Thank you for your reply. 4.375 x 4.50 or 4.50 x 4.25 bore x stroke would equal 541 cubes, you dont happen to know if its one of those two, do you ?

If you need specs or overhaul info, it's covered, under Autocar, in my 57 Motor Trk manual. Nothing like a real manual, of course, but OK for basic specs and better'n nothing. If no one has one your local library usually has a set. Manual sez used 52-54, but may not include all models that used it. Bearing catalog lists as LeRoi (Roiline), apparently about time Wauk took over. Good luck.
