I took the liberty to fill in for the resident auction reporter of Lincoln land. Steve, I did not take the pictures like you do so I think your job is secure. The items on the auction were from the late Verle Johnson's collection.
Engines: IHC 3hp M (missing mag) $325 IHC LA (complete) $260 Sandwich 1-1/2 cart $200 IHC w/ pump jack (mostly there) $175 Rock Island 2hp (complete minus magneto magnet, everything stuck) $200 I wish I would have been paying attention and not writing prices when this one sold. Hercules 1-1/2 (missing mag.) $235 IHC 1-1/2 M (missing mag.) $245 Hercules 5hp (ready to run!) $675 1-1/2 Alamo $600 Jaeger 2hp? $410 International Tractors: T40 $525 Cub (front blade) $1950 B $600 C $2500 Power Unit $60 H steel $1200 W30 $900 1939 H steel $1400 1948 H $1500 1950 M $1100 MD $3100 SMTA $4200 I think that many folks were at the Dennis Polk auction in Oswego, about 30 miles away. (and Sycamore) I can't forget that I met a fellow Staker, Larry Dunlap, who bought a nice Marseilles one hole corn sheller. I'll get you pictures of mine soon Larry. Thanks for the post about our sale. I hope those that took the gas engines home will enjoy them as much as our Dad did. We think the tractors all went to good homes also. Kind of hard to see them go down the lane but it was time. Thanks again for your intrest. Keith |

Thanks for the report. I know of two others that were there. I was at the show in Sycamore so I couldn't get away...
