Post McCulloch chainsaw

i have a mcculloch super 250 chainsaw and i was wondering what model of engine did they use in this chainsaw like mc93/mc100/mc101 ect

i have parts on ebay and i keep getting asked this questions

look on the bottom of the saw. There should be model and Serial Number.

Look for any tags or numbers on the bottom of the saw. The series number may be of some help to you. See the attached links for series numbers and engine size. Hope this helps Lewis.

This saw used an engine cylinder that was comparable to the Mc49C kart engine. The crankshaft will not work as it is a straight shaft with a left hand thread for the clutch. The kart engine used a tapered end crankshaft like the 640 gear drive saw which also is quite like the 49C kart engine. Worked with McCulloch in the 50's,60's &70's.
