Default IHC Fuel Pump Problem

I have a 1919 IHC 1 1/2HP IHC M
I have taken off the fuel pump to clean. (The engine has not run in years)
My question is, do I have only one check ball? I have only found one, near the base of the pump inside a brass fitting. Also, the fitting below this one, I am unable to blow through it. Is this where the second check ball is? Any ideas on how to unblock it.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you, Stephen

There is a check ball in the bottom of the pump body below the plunger. I had one that was stuck really bad one time, and I resulted to drilling a small hole on the bottom side of the plunger body where the check ball was, so I could get a small punch underneith it and tap it out. Then after that was done, I plugged the hole with JB weld. I would'nt recomend doing this, but it was a last chance deal because it was stuck so bad, and it worked. I also was told one time by and old guy that said the best way to fix a IHC M fuel pump was to take it off the engine, place on bench, take a 5 pound mini sledge, and direct the hammer towards the fuel pump in a forceful manner...........

If it is jammed up with varnish from old fuel, an acetone soak will cut the varnish. Be careful to do this outside though because the fumes are bad. Otherwise, if it's jammed up from water and the ages, you'll be into more extreme measures.

I had one of those cast iron repro pumps on a 3hp M. That pump stuck the lower intake side check ball constantly. I drilled a hole like Tanner, but threaded it and placed a small brass screw in it. That way I can get back in there if I have to.

There's 2 checkballs , one below the plunger and one in the discharge line to the mixer.
