I have heard of a High Crop tractor, but whats this?


Pretty neat tractor/crawler... looks a little top heavy to me...

Default I have heard of a High Crop tractor, but whats this?

Pretty neat tractor/crawler... looks a little top heavy to me...

....And to think Caterpillar thought they were being so "innovative" when they went to the "high drive" configuration 20 years ago.....

Looks a lot like the high boy spray rigs that were used around here in the cane fields. A similar rig on tires that gave the clearance to spray the cane near residential areas where the crop dusters weren't practical.

there were also 3 wheel tractors here in the 1950's that were very high and dangerous. they were used to spray over row crops, cane /corn. never saw one on trac's. we parked ours in the mid 60's as did most. very scary
