Default Tractor web site question

I know this is supposed to be an engine site but what about some tractors on the Gallery page. I dont mean tractors like John Deere B's like everybody and there dog has seen, I mean old, big, greasy, steel wheeled tractors, you know the good ones.

Default Tractor tractors everywhere......

Hi Tanner,

I don't have anything against tractors, have three myself. BUT, Harry's site really is for engines, not tractors. There's lots and lots of sites for tractor material (and it seems there is no such thing as a ENGINE show anymore), so my opinion, and I'll let others speak for themselves, is that I want this kept as an ENGINE site. No offense intended Tanner, just seems tractors are everywhere and it's a rare thing that this site has stayed engine focused! And to show you I'm not prejudice against tractors, the link below is to my Tractors page on my site!

Tanner: I only have engines(at home), but my tractor friend needs help in getting some of those as you say, old and unusual tractors. I help by buying the engine and he buys the rest(well, sort of) .

I don't object(but someone else may), as long as the engine is shown 1st and then the tractor just so folks can see what it's in. A lot of those old and unusual tractors have very unusual and sometimes interesting engines in them. In fact a lot of them have my favorite IHC engines in them. BUT, after saying all that, in general, tractors belong on a different site.......... I wouldn't post your restored Cub, A/C, M/H, IHC-M(not the engine) etc.. tractors here. I would guess that the posting may not last long on this engine site.

Just trying to have fun at the end of 2001 .

I had tractors too at one time or another in my life. John Deere LA, Ford 640, John Deere GP, Allis Chalmers C. and Ford 2N. A couple of these are on my home page - all gone but the memories because I'm living on 1 acre now.

Tractor ads can be found on the BarnSale page, but that's about it. Over the years that the classified ads have been running, I've dumped many tractor ads and probably peeved about as many people. But it's an engine site. It was a barrel of monkeys overhauling the engine on this one...

I'm a "tractor only" collector too. Doesn't mean I don't LIKE engines (I've had enough of those too), I just prefer to collect tractors--can't drive an engine! I have posted a couple pics of the "engine on wheels" type tractors. I figured if Harry didn't like it he'd give 'em the heave ho. I think it would be a bad idea to screw up this site with tractors because where do you draw the line?
