Default What color was original MK oiler on 10-20 Titan

Does anyone have any idea of what the original color was of the Madison Kipp oilers on the 10-20 Titans. I have one that looks to be original, although I am color blind, it looks to be a light color, like silver or light gray.......any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

In the past 40 years, I have restored 5 Titans (10-20's). Two of them were solid originals and they both had the oiler painted the same color as the tractor; gray. The photos I have seen in books seem to show the same thing. That being said, I have seen one original photo that showed it painted black on one of the last styles they built. What's up Dave, are you changing from Hart-Parr to IHC now?? Roger

Roger, no I ain't switching, I wouldn't know what to do with anything else. I have a oiler for a Titan and sold it to a guy, but wanted to know if the color of it was original or not, and by the responses it probably isn't.

My 1918 Titan was all original, and the oiler was deap red like the wheels. Bob Ronning

The oiler was black under the later paint on my 1918 Titan, but it's not certain whether that was the original oiler or a retro-fitted replacement put on during its working life

There has to be quite a few as they made a ton of them, seems like every show has one if not 2, at least in the upper midwest. I know of 2 just in my local area.
