Thumbs up Printing from web pages

I was just asked about printing information from this site.
The following applies to printing from anything, anywhere:

Highlight that part of the post you want to print, right click and select COPY.
Open any word processing program you wish, Word, Wordpad, Notepad, etc..

By the way, Notepad is the handiest thing EVER and few are aware of it: Find it here: Start; Programs; Accessories; Notepad.
In Notepad, ALL formatting of the original text will be stripped including photos and do-dads and all you will wind up with is plain text. This works for ANYTHING you might want to save as plain text.

Put your cursor into the new document, right click again and select PASTE.

If you wish to save images or special formatting Notepad won't work for that, use another word processing program.

Another tip: If you are submitting a lengthy post here, or anywhere, compose it in Notepad first......then copy and paste your submittal into the forum text box.......

Craig,

Many time when I want to print something from this site to show George, I just highlight what I want including the picture, then under File I select print, then hit selection(which is the highlighted info) then choose my printing, double sided, portrait ,horizontal and quality of the print, or whatever. And print it.

Don't overlook our Archive function here:

http://www.smokstak.com/forum/archiv...p?t-42558.html

With that, you can highlight and copy an entire thread.

I tried that years ago and most times I got a bunch of junk I didn't want....... ......even with the print preview.
At least by pasting into another program I know I'll get exactly what I want.
A screen shot is another method but that's an image file.......
