Default Tractor Pull

Back in 1981 or so I was operating this Foremost Comander super C in the oilpatch moving drilling rigs. WE were having a Tractor pull at the local Farmers Day fair so I took this truck to see what it would do. We put a big Belarus on the front of the sled an a 2670 case on the back holding his brakes. I pulled the sled right through no problem. The machine has a KTA-1150 600 horse cummins. 8000 sieries 8 speed powershift Clarke trans. It weighs 98000 lbs. empty.

I operated that machine for almost 8 years. IT was the first 8x8 comander built. Lots of 6x6 around. I picked it up right at the factory in Calgary Alberta. It was bought by a drilling contractor in 1984 and sent to Madagascar,I went and ran it there. Boy what an interesting place that was. IT was then sent to Somolia in about 1988 and I was operating it there. Then I stayed home till 1997 till I went to Saudi and I ran across it there. I work for the company that owns it now. IT dosnt do much any more, just sit in the yard.

That's great Wayne!!! I'd love to climb in the cab on that one!! If you would, it would go over great if posted on the discussion page over at aths.org. They've been having a few pictures of prime movers show up there and they're getting quite a bit of admiration! They'd love to hear about that rig for sure!!!
Thanks!
John
