Cool MINATURE KNIFE SWITCHES, My first New Years Project "COMPLETED"

Now for the next "projects" that are lined up . Just finished a few of my minature knife switches for my model engines . They are 1" square and sure beat the smallest porcelain ones I have. Here is a photo of two of them and another installed on a models battery/coil box . Starting the New Years out just having fun, even in NJ

Nice looking switces! But not to take away from you'r project,Could you please index the screw's?It makes a nicer looking project.I know you are thinking Who is this guy?lol
I may be to picky but whenever I'm putting stuff together I try to index them, most people don't notice it but I do...

When making them, I don't index the slots . When I install them on a model, I index the screw heads in one direction (first photo). Now I'm as to which way is the right way , horizontal (for horizontal models, or so they hold any dust, oil or rain in the slots), or vertical (for vertical models, or so they don't hold any dust, oil or rain from the slots)..... Decisions, decisions.... .

I'd go vertical to keep dust and oil to a minimum.Or if it's on a tabletop in the direction of the longest side....Yup decisions...decisions...

Great job on the switches, Paul. Boy are you guys fussy. My first question would have been how well do they work, not why aren't the screw slots indexed. Of course that comes from a guy who's orientation is function, function, function and the fact that I'm a newby to this hobby. I need to make a switch and a battery box for my 2 hp famous with an ignighter. Thanks for the pics this gave me some good ideas, and I'll try to line up the screw slots.
Walt
