Jack,
You will need whatever regulators/vaporizers are required to get the propane from a liquid in the tank to low pressure vapor in the mixer.

Post the engine and the regulators etc you have already, the tank you want to use, where you are located etc, where the set will be installed etc.

The lowest temperature you will operate in and the tank size you have or want to use will determine whether you will be able to operate with vapor from the tank or will have to use some kind of vaporizer to convert liquid from the tank to vapor for the engine. Pulling vapor off the tank will cool the remaining liquid LPG and in very cold outdoor temperatures may result in a frozen tank that will not supply enough vapor to keep the generator running. Pulling liquid LPG and converting it to vapor with the hot engine coolant in a vaporizer will allow the use of a smaller tank in cold weather than a vapor draw setup because heat is supplied by the engine.

Better yet call your local gas co and find out whether you tank can vaporize the necessary LPG for the generator (and other loads on it like furnace etc.) at the lowest temperature you expect to have in your area. Then if they aren't knowledgable about the engine setup, call Moulden Supply in Jackson MS and tell them what you are doing, what you have already and they'll fix you up with the necessary regulators, hoses etc.

Jim,

I my area, Southwest Missouri, I find that most LP suppliers have LITTLE experiance with MOTOR FUEL LP. I am slowly learning with help feom Rob a Moulden supply. I have had a local LP supplier tell me that I knew more about motor fuel system than they did. They work very little on these system so they have little training or experience. I got interested in motor fuel when I bought an LP fueled piece of farm equipment and HAD to learn to be able to use it.

all I know about LPG engines I learned keeping an old fork lift running. it had an electric valve in the liquid fuel line opened by an oil pressure switch or by cranking and a vaporizer in the hot water [cooling] line, next the demand regulator was adjusted to provide a small stream of bubbles when the outlet hose was submerged in a cup of water. then just tweeking the throttle stop and idle screw. old as it was it is probably still running today.

actually the demand regulator and vaporizer were one piece and bolted over the coolant thermostat
