For anyone needing Pincor information, here is a 1975 owner's guide I scanned. A big file for only 16 pages, slow download. A lot of the older Montgomery Wards generators are Pincors. It has test procedures that would apply to other generators as well. This is my second try at adding a link. Hope it works this time. Donald

Great manual! Thanks! Pincor was the manufacturer of PTO driven generators for several garden tractor brands. I knoe Deere and Wheelhorse both sold Pincor generators on mounting brackets designed for their tractors. Made for a handy generator that was self propelled as part of your existing garden tractor.

I know resurrecting old threads is bad, but thanks a bunch for this, it will help a lot with a rebuild I thought was going to be junked.

my brother gave me an old pincor genorator yestorday, the briggs runs fine but the wireing is all messed up. the scematics for the rf3000hdv (mine is a rf-30hm5 but they look like the same type) in the manual above are alittle hard to understand as to the throws of the 3p3t swtch, and it looks like the connection going to the lower part of the 230v resptical connects to ground, that cant be right, can it? and if it connects to the left side of the socket then it would short the t1-t2 stator windings. can anyone tell me how this is suppost to be wired? the switch for 120/off/120-240 is aftermarket by the way. thankyou

also it appears as though t3 connects to the negative wires of the exciter coils and t4 connects to one of the positives of the exciter. do they?

I realize this post is a few months old-- I am looking for a manual for a Goodall (pincor) 5500 wat 55EH2, 1970's production. As stated in prior posts, the link doesn't work, any way to get a copy of the scan emailed? Thanks

Thanks Jack.
That will get me started at least. ---------- Post added at 03:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:37 PM ---------- Question about shut-down. A decal on the generator warns not to shut the generator down by shutting off the ignition or choking it. I says to shut off the gas and let it run out. Why is that? Thanks |

Great foresight. Gas, especially modern gas, leaves deposits in the carb which plug up small passages and interfere with operation. This procedure helps to mitigate the problem.

So, in your opinion, it has nothing to do with electrically safely shutting down the unit with respect to being a generator engine, but rather with just running the gas out of the carb. Makes sense to me. I was told this Goodall unit is a Pincor, model #'s similar.

Hi. I'm new to the forums and looking for information on a generator that I think might be similar. Could you send a copy of the manual to me as well?
