i dont know for sure but i know some thing similar was used on a two man chainsaw i will take it to the stihl shop and see if they have any info on it and will post what if any thing i find

Unless there's an older man at the Stihl shop, my guess is that no one there will have ever heard of your engine! Unless you happen to run into a fellow collector.

got it today has good compression but a large rattle in the gudgeon pin or piston skirt clearance will strip and see

Your pics are very small but it is either a KS43 or a BDKH both which started production around 1938 and were two-man saws.
