Default Ed Malcom THE Le Roi Man.....Thank You!!

Recently, the subject of Le Roi engines came up on the Stak.I have had one sitting up on the pallet rack for years because of the general lack of information. That all ended when I heard from Ed Malcom. There is little that Ed cannot tell you about the Le Roi line of engines, history, timing [the X and O mystery unraveled],colors used ,primary usage etc.Since I was enlightened about this series of engine,I can march forward this spring towards a working 2 cylinder Le Roi. It is especially good that a guy such as Ed is waving the Banner with the Le Roi lion on it because these engines are an underappreciated piece of engineering. Thanks Ed !!

I love LeRois...you can pick them up for next to nothing, they're built like brick sh*thouses, and they're really nice runners. It's a shame that Waukesha destroyed all the LeRoi records when they took LeRoi over.

Clark ~ That is one sweet rig you have there. That arch on top is just the right radius and the shape "speaks to me". A peek inside makes me think I may just have the same engine. The pump looks like it could get plenty of trout the easy way if need be. Thanks for the picture. mike

Clark ~ Since I do not have a plate on my engine I gave particulars to Ed. I have the same engine as your pumper but mine has a H as part of the model #. The H is added because of the cast iron Hopper rather than the radiator [covered by your neat little roof] mike
