Wow. I had a chance to bid on a pair of these, but passed because I couldn't tell if they were 3600 or 1800 rpm. The rotor on that machine looks like its a 2-pole machine. Do these really run at 3600 rpm?

Thumbs up Re: Deuzt Generator

good to hear from you jim it is 3600 rpm and its good solid unit i will remove a lot of the complex things with the engine, the only thing that i can't figuere out its that it had a rectifier i belive coming out of the wires from the generator , there is 2 think L-1 and L-2 AND THEN THE 2 FIELD WIRES PLUS 4 MORE THAT HOOK UP TO THE RECTIFER AND TO THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR I WILL BE NOT USING THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR THAT CAME WITH ANY THOUGTHS

Are you speaking of the wire on the engine opposite the generator end? If so this is the alternator to chare the battery. 24 volt I assume. Older 5 and 10 k military genset I have worked on have a "Brick" which is the rectifiers and voltage regulator for charging the starting battery. Input should be two wire from the stator with about 40 volt AC output when the engine is running at 3600 rpm. If you do not have the regulator you might try Saturn Surplus.

If you are refering to the wires coming out of the generator head, yes i believe it had something to do with the charging system, for the batterys, how ever it does have a build in alternator in the front of the engine which is conected to a regulator and the power side of the starter
