which is worth more

I have found a 6hp Ihc Famous ( hit & miss - batt& coil ) and also a 6hp Ihc Famous ( T/G -with webster magneto) both are on wagons & compleat ( running )

how rare is the T/G model - as I can't remember ever seeing one??

I need some feed back on what the value might be on these engines.. Thanks for any replys

Hi, Are they hopper cooled or tank cooled?Are the wagons original?The hit and miss is earlier.I have seen more H AND M's then Thr.ers.Why not buy them both there small.Would make a nice present for your wife.Just think ,his and hers Famouses.I wish my wife would go along with that.Rob

Hi Tom, According to my ser # book IHC made 2769 tank cooled kerosene throttlers from 1912 to 1917 and 16199 tank cooled H n M from 1906 to 1914.So the throttler is rarer but I know the H n M is more popular at shows.If you like the more rareone and all of the goodies on the front of the engine are there I would go for that one.I have both tank and hopper 6's in H n M they are nice but not much beats a throttler running smooth and slow.
