I have a small Navy genset which has the motor mounted on 4 oilproof "Lord mounts" of about 2" size (1.75 mounting square, 3/8" internal diameter x 1" center tube).
The existing ones have split and no longer are in one piece, nor do they hold up the engine. Three of the 4 are resting on the backup washers..... Even Lord mfg seems to have only "modified natural rubber" at a high price, higher than I want to pay for an "unsuitable" type. I am figuring that modified or not, natural rubber will not stand up to gasoline and oil. Anyone have a source for them in oilproof? |
