Default Wisconsin/Fairbanks Genset

I have recently acquired a 1955-era military 2500W generator with a Wisconsin engine and Fairbanks generator. It works really well and pulls my powertools with ease. Is there anything in particular I need to know as far as weakness in these generators? I can supply model and other numbers, should anyone request them.
Thanks!
