Default Stenn Saw Data Wanted

Does anyone have any information at all on the Stenn Logging Saw, made in Montreal, Quebec during the '40's and possibly the '50's? I have two of these, have seen several others at shows, and no one seems to know a thing about them....

Hello Olympic,

I have a nice running example of a Stenn Saw. Mine is plated that it was made in Toronto, has the Cunningham engine, all origional except for throttle linkage and spark plug. I have the origional spare blade with blade guard.

I have documents on the origional inventor, copies of the Canadian patent documents, and a newspaper article on him that I can dig up. I have been searching for years for other Stenn Saw enthusiasts on line, would be nice to hear from you.

Did you see my post on the Stenn Saw?
We have one at the farm near Lansdowne which I used with my dad in the woods in the early 50's.

Hey popper, have been following the forum notes on the Stennitt logging saw as I too am from the Gananoque area and we have one at the farm. Do you have any idea of market value as I have had one contact looking to buy ours.(From the USA.)
I am in Nova Scotia now but will be in Gan in May/June and hope to deal with it then. Engine and two blades removed but all are stored indoors. Will have pictures shortly from my sister.

My father in-law has restored a stin saw and he is looking for a blade.

Also he has asked me to get as much information available about the saw as he takes it on display with him to local fairs and events.

Here is the pic of my saw, after a cosmetic freshening. Also, the above link is my saw running, I am the guy who gets on the blade handle when she starts to bind.

Hi John, sorry to be so late in catching up on this thread. I have no idea about value of these saws, just that we picked up ours about 20 years ago from an old machine shop for $200, complete and running with spare blade and blade guard.
