Question Tecumseh AH82 2 cycle parts sources

Hello forum members,

I am looking for any parts
(NOS,custom,or used) sources online,or otherwise for
a Taco minibike (OEM??) Tecumseh Power Sports model AH820 ,2 cycle engine;I am mainly interested in the exhaust header pipe, and carburetor(or a good used AH820 engine, complete!),but will consider any pertinant offers/information.

Also,any specifications,horse power ratings,etc. would be appreciated!!

BTW,I have uploaded a Tecumseh AH82 parts diagram for reference!

Hello bstrucker,

I did look at that website, but couldn't find any AH82 Tecumseh parts there, although I did post a wanted ad for parts/complete #AH82 engine in the wanted section!

I think Taco only used the Tecumseh # AH58(??)
Tecumseh 2-cycle engine in their minibikes,but i
could not find any real information about Taco using the #AH82 in their minibikes,I will probably post at air cooled engine wanted subforum at smokestak.com!

Hello bstrucker,

I had visited that site hopnig they would have some parts
for the #AH82 Tecumseh, but turned up nothing!!

I did, however, post a Tecumseh engine(and parts) at there forum;I know that Taco used the Tecumseh #AH58 2-cycle engine, but do not know if the Tecumseh #AH82 engine was used in any of their models.

I hope I get some replies at the taco website forum since this engine is fairly obsolete, and it will probably be hard to locate a running complete,or rebuildable engine and/or parts!!

You might check with some go cart places, they used this engine in racing go carts back in the 60s

I just missed the ad;too bad i can not afford that one,but it would make a good vintage gokart happy!!!

The Tecumseh Power Products AH82 can bebuilt to run over
25 horsepower!!

Unbelievable power for a single cylinder 2 cycle with 131(?)
cc displacement!!

134.37 cc's actually

I would like to find an ah 82 for my collection- they are hard to come by. That will be a lot of power for a mini bike. Which model taco have you got? I have a model 66 that I am building now.
