Default Wiring a Pittsfield coil

I have a pittsfield coil similar to a ford buzz coil? and i would like to know how it gets wired up so i can use it. I know the spark plug wire goes on the end of the coil as that is where some remains of a old wire were when i bought it a couple of years ago. I wish i had asked the guy i bought it from how to wire it up but all well. thanks for any help

hi ray,

if it is simillar to a ford t buzz coil, 1 wire to spark plug, negative terminal on battery to your contacts on engine, 1 wire from positive terminal to switch then to coil, 1 wire from coil to ground on the engine (not near your contacts or it will short out)

hope this helps some,
jordan

Ray: The very, very thin wire goes goes to the spark terminal . The heaver wires go to the + & - terminals .

I got it working.I had to clean things up on the inside and adjust the point gap to get things right. After tinkering around with it and the battery connections it threw a good spark to the plug.
