Default NY Steam Engine Ass'n Pageant of Steam '08 - photos

Here's a link to a few steam photos from my visit to the Pageant on Friday. Weather could have been better (we were drenched several time by heavy cloudbursts). But despite the marginal weather I still had an excellent time! ...FB

I like the picture of the engines still running in the driving rain! Just goes to prove that we still play with our beloved toys--even in the driving rain, mud, cold, etc.

Rain seems to be a problem for most shows this year.

Thanks for the link!

Beth

Sorry, I missed the show but as you can see not the storms.

And, it is true, every cloud has a silver lining.

Great Pictures There Steve Barr.

Thats a funny looking Reeves in the Plowing Field...Actually it was John Leck's Frick. We left our Reeves at home this year (although it was on the Button - No one ever tells us these things)

There is a story behind the Lil Frick getting its Crank removed, But I'll let the owner put his tale on here if he wants to.
More amazin is that the shaft was repaired and put back together all by 10pm. Lots of people helped out to get the repairs made so she could steam again on Saturday.

Our Sawyer-Massey looks good with that "Wet Look" dont it?
