Hello Kyle, They sold a square tub with a twin on ebay a while back. It was totaly restored. The last I seen the bidding it was up to $1500.00 dont know what it finally sold for. It was circa 1930's. Ken

I have six square tub washers, most the early style and I have offered to give them away and have never had a taker. I have two with engines that I will keep and show once in a while but the others are there for the taking. In western Kansas. Dan

Too bad you aren't in easy driving distance. I'd take at least one off your hands.

Hello, It really depends on the models of the washing machine. Most common models 80,90,30 bring between $5.00 to $50.00 depending on your geographic location.here in Pa we have a large population of Amish whom still use wringer washers so they are alittle more in Demand in these areas. A Model 70 Washer is worth a good deal more these where the washers a Fruit Jar Maytag engine was mounted on. Maytag useda two in model numbers equiped with Multi Motor engines. For example model 90 was electric model,Model 92 was Gas engine.Maytag Collectiblies was my thing until the bigger engine bug bit me two years ago. Maytag Oil cans range in price from $15.00 to $300.00 for a 3 Ounce Oil Can as well as Glass oil Bottles made in the 1940's to save tin for war effort. The square Tub washers are really neat Also available is a Meat Grinder attachment and a Butter Churn Attachment. These however are harder to finder and more expensive a Butter Churn is around $250.00 and Meat Grinder is around $400.00 Lots of luck with your Maytags

I have heard some people say that you could pack the area between the churn and the tub with ice, and use the churn as an ice cream maker.

I think that it is nice to have a washer to display with Maytag engines, since many people have no idea that some washers were actually run by gas engines. I know that when I have displayed Maytag engines, I have gotten many questions about what they were. I have tried to explain it, and pointed out the Maytag logo on the kick starter shields. Still, I wonder if some of those folks thought that I was telling them a tall tale.

I have also heard of the Butter churns being used as Ice Cream makers, But wonder if this is someones hopefull idea Most Ice cream makers used Rock salt this would eat the aluminum Butter churn up pretty fast. Maytag was a great Promotional Company they had there name on everything from a thimble to an Automobile which they made from 1909 to early 1911. the Most sought after and highly priced Maytag collectible is the Maytag Toy Racer only 498 where built starting at serial number 500 and going to 998 they had a Maytag single cylinder engine in the trunk for power reaching an approx. 8 Mile an Hour they measured 29 inches wide and 83 inches long and weighed approx 195 lbs. These go carts where used in parades for demonstrating the dependability of the maytag Multi Motor engine. If anyone has a Maytag Toy Racer and needs a date of production I have a complete breakdown of the serial number list giving month and year and in a few cases may even beable to tell you where your car was sent and to whom.

You guys have sure got me wishing one of those free Maytags was close to Rochester NY, wife's been buggin me to get her a new washer. She didn't learn from the day I bought her a beautiful washboard at an auction. Them washboards are real quality equipment, didn't even dent when she whacked me over the head with it.
