Default Maytag, More Than Washers

I appreciate all whom wrote me with compliments on my two post of previous Maytag Questions. Just a quick What to Watch out for at shows this year Tip. I'm sure all of you have seen the Maytag Fuel Mixing cans. The ones with curved spouts that look like funnels. Maytag actuallygave these out with the washers equiped with Gas Multi Motor engines. Along with the round aluminum oil measureing cup. To My knowledge there where four differnt styles of this little cup 1) Most common with a small handle attcahed,2) Less Common without a handle the V Groove pouring spout is a little deeper and wider comparing side by side with handle version this is obvious,3) is VERY RARE Is A Red Or Black Bakelite Cup Without handle these little cups where given out with the Bakelite agitator equiped washing machines I believe in the 1940's The dyes from Agitator came off in clothes as a reaction and stained clothes these cups where only given with Gasoline engine equiped washing machines and keep in mind by 1940's Most of America had Electricity and had no need for Gas powered washers! Also Maytag realizing the problem with dyes did not make the Bakelite agitator long.4) Less Common ids the handle cup which is slightly bigger in Diameter supposedly this is for the later twin cylinder engines. 5) which is really not a Maytag item so I only mentioned four styles of Maytag cups is the black plastic round without a handle cup has maytag on bottom. These where made by some collector to resemble the black bakelite cups. These are plastic but yet have some value in todays collectors market. Value on the above is from auction or fleamarket prices yet even today in a world of Internet some bargins are yet to be had. 1) Handle cup $20.00-50.00 2) Without handle $45.00-70.00 3) Bakelite cup red or black cups two styles $125.00- Plus 4)Larger diameter handle cup $45.00-55.00 5) Plastic cup $15.00- 30.00 Keep your eyes open at shows this year I'm sure some will pop up!Good Luck Hunting
