Ok I'm a bit confused. I am in the process of restoring my 1954 Wauk FC in my Fairmont A5-C railcar. I have seen several other railcar members with the Wauks in Waukesha Orange. However once I started working on mine its green. There is no sign of orange/red anywhere on this engine. I only removed one layer of paint before I got to the steel. The green is about a shade lighter than JD green.
I bought this car directly from the railroad so I am 99% sure the engine was never stripped and repainted a different color. Did Waukesha ship these in this green as well (its definitely more green than marine green) or maybe did Fairmont order them in this color? |
