Default Mall 7G Chain Saw Carburetor??

Hi, I'm looking for a carburetor, manifold, and air cleaner for a Mall 7G and would like to know if any other Mall models used the same. Also would appreciate if anyone has a picture of these parts. Thanks.

Most of the 7 series used the same set up. The carb was built by Mall itself, so you will probably have to find a junker in order to get a carb. You might try another makers carb, and make a custom mount for it. Things to look at on the 'G': Does it have spark? The phenolic resin on the mag has a history of splitting, allowing the fine wiring in the secondary windings to corrode.. the other thing is the governor, it is set to limit the engine RPM to 3200. This is a big piston, long stroke engine. Run it more than 4 grand, and you will have pieces all over quickly! Fuel to oil ratio 12:1, SAE 30 NON Detergent oil. Don't lean to 16:1, it is too lean for the plain bronze rod and crank bearings The chain is 3/4" pitch, no longer available. I have been told that older Maccoulach (spelling?) 5/8 chain drivers are a direct replacement. I am not sure, as I still use my 3/4" chain.

I will tell you this, if you do get it running, it has a unique sound to it - i think it has to do with the shape of the air vanes on the flywheel! (Ever hear the whine a 5 or 6 S briggs makes when it is wound up? imagine that sound about 4 times as loud! It is unique to the 7 series.
