It was a fast 400 miles each way to the show. I had originally planned on taking in the auction in Colorado (900 miles each way), but my rider backed out and I am running low on storage space....So this was the next best thing. I am glad I went. I wish I had more time to spend, but a birthday party was scheduled for Sunday evening that I had to be back for.

As Arnold Said... "I'LL BE BACK"

Well, below are several photos. The balance are spread over 4 web pages at:
http://www.oldengine.org/members/sba...orestCity1.htm

I have a few movie clips to edit and then they will show up as a link on one of the pages.

Steve,

I was so busy at the show that I didn't realize you were out floating about. Thanks for posting a photo of my son's engine plowing with Glen Braun's 1/2 scale Rumely gang plow. Nicholas is on the controls while one of Glen's grandsons, Austin was steering. On the plow is another of Glen's grandons, Shane (1st & 2nd levers) Daniel Wyman and beyond him is his younger brother Jack. I'm leaned over cleaning out the plow. That seemed like a perminant position for me on Saturday's plowing. with the grass so high in the field, the little plow got plugged up pretty easily. Also in the field is Glen Braun, scratching his head in bewilderment, he is the owner and builder of that beautiful little plow.

Steve,
Great pictures,
I couple of errors I noticed. The model steam you have labeled a Nick, is a model Woods Bros. The power unit that you have labled a Appleton, is a Eagle engine, from Appleton, WI. The JD Cylinder sheller is a MM.
I am glad you took all those pictures. I was too busy to see all of the exhibits myself.

I rushed thru it yesterday...Processed the photos, built the pages and uploaded in less than 3 hours (slow day at the J). I have made the changes....Sometimes I forget exactly what I saw ...sometimes that is where the blanks are...How did I mislable the Eagle Power unit that came from a sale in WI???? Easy....I was thinking of the Appleton Corn Sheller that came from a sale in IA that I had gone out to try and buy for my Collection of Batavia, IL built Appleton Equipment....I was glad to see it under cover...just needing an axle fixed. As to the Steam, I know nothing....but enjoy it all !!! As to the volume of the exhibits...I did not see everything. I missed almost all of the village....Hence a great reason to go back !!!!!

KR Lost ????? I thought that was normal. As to a trade, I wouldn't put it past KR....I wouldn't want to see him haul that behind his pickup ...on a bumper hitch

Steve,

I think KR will forego any bumper pulled trailers for some time yet....he'll leave that for the lowboys....

How about it KR? Pulled anything lately? I'd gander a guess that the 40 Gaar hauls about like the 32 Reeves or 110 Case....a PIA!

Good evening Everyone

Yes the 40 Gaar Scott is awesome!!! I was suprised how much different than a 25 it really was. I had always wanted to see that engine ever since I had heard about it--a long time ago and I am very excited to see it run someday.

As far as the show I was very impressed with the threshing and plowing exhibition. I would like to Thank Jerred and the whole Forest City Crew for putting on such a wonderful and very much growing show. This is definitly a show to go to and look forward to attending in the future.

As with every show the people you meet and spend time with make the show a good one, Forest City had everyone and we spent much of the night solving the Worlds problems and talking about steam engines making the show a great time.

Enjoy the attached photos

Hey KR,

How many beverages did it take to solve those "world problems?"

What was Justin's "surprise?"

...I don't see your "attached pictures."
