Friend of mine has a 1903 Haynes Apperson car that is just beautiful. Has a 300 inch 2 cylinder opposed engine in it, lots of brass and original leather upholstery. The model he has is the only one that exists that is running and someone else is putting another one together. That's probably mine, but I don't have the several 100K its worth.

Mine would be a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split window coupe. Thats the only year they made the split window.

Here is a Haynes-Apperson at Cedar Valley Memories. It is all original except for the new rubber. And it runs and drives. We plan to keep this jewel just the way it is. because it is in such good condition.

Great list & thread idea
Well negating the obvious Linn tractor mania, first on mylist would be the American Underslung, the speedster not the touring car. It wasn't until I read R. G. LeTourneau's autobiography ("Movers Of Mountains & Men" - if you like iron get it through your library system) that I learned he began his mechanical career as a dealer/mechanic for American and nearly burned himself up under one. Just a neat and radical car. Next would be the 1935 Ford pickup truck, although I like the '46 and briefly owned a stakerack, and the 1959 always makes me think of the old Tonkas I grew up with, but I like the '35 styling best. My father would say the old military Dodge 3/4 ton WC was the best truck ever, but I have no experience or practical knowledge of them. Last, the one I have actually owned (all too brief) and driven as one of my learning vehicles, a pre-68 split windshield VW truck, although my Toyota pickup can do circles around it, still one of my favorite vintage commercial vehicles, and probably the most familiar to me. Pic is not one of ours, we have a badly rusted '69 that replaced my '67, and is beyond restoration I fear, more sentimental value than anything other. The Toyota is not my favorite truck, but it the best setup I know and can afford for winter driving here in the salty Northeast with 200 lbs. ballast secured at the back end, narrow, simple 4 cyl., low center of gravity 2WD, I've hauled gravel out of creeks and firewood out of woodlots, been stuck, used tire chains and come-along/coffin hoists more than once. But again, in this part of the country they rust away in about five years, and getting scarcer down South, as with the old AC VWs, we end up with spare parts and nothing to use them on.

My Dream Car would have to be a late 1920's, Packard, they are beautiful cars, and expensive!
Also i wouldnt mind having a 1937 or so Cord 812 Phaeton Coupe, now thats a nice car! and again, way out of my budget!

I wonder what happened to this one of a kind truck made by Relay Motors Corp, Lima, Ohio in 1930. It used two 8 cylinder engines side by side each driving a different rear axle. This is 1 page of a 4 page spead in Jan 1931Commercial Car Journal. That is one truck I would like to have.

These super-duty trucks were built by several companies in the early 1930's, trying to get as much load as possible on one truck, before they got fussy and began passing laws about such things. American LaFrance-Republic built a big one too, powered by a big V-1200 gas engine. But then they had to scale back the GVW and dimensions once they began regulating everything (1935?). I think Ford built their twin V8 Ford truck after that, almost seems like Moreland had a super big highway truck too? Yeah it would be neat to own, but who could afford to feed it?

The Foden steam waggon (yes, 2 "g's") gets my vote. Here's the one we used to have the privilege to run. It is back in England & owned by Alan Eatwell (or was in 1999.)
and a 1/2 scale that I drooled over at the Great Dorset Steam Fair! Beth

Mine [and the wife's too] would have to be a Model T roadster, any vintage, brass front would be nice, but more pricey than others. Just for the two of use when the kids are no longer home [like thats gonna happen].
