Default Hercules/Economy/Grover

I'm aware that this is a Hercules/Economy engine, but what we can see of the decal yet says "Grover" on it. So if anyone has any information about Grover I would appreciate it!

Where does that bar attached to the water hopper go? What is at the other end of it?

I believe it is a farmer fix to brace up the magneto mount or whatever magneto might have been on it at one time. Or maybe some kind of spark timer that ran off the cam gear, as you can see it was converted from ignitor to spark plug. Dad picked it and a dishpan Fairbanks up at an auction sale, I think he was the only bid...

Grover isn't mentioned in Wendel's book, either, so we are stumped as far as who may have originally sold the engine.

Since that is the Economy model E block, it is likely an Economy. I have seen several instances where engines were relabeled to suit the new owners needs. I have never seen the "Grover" on any of the Hercules built engines.
