Default Wico opposed twin ?

After 20 years I'm ready to bring this one back to life. But what is it? Cast into the flywheel is the following info. Made by Wico Electric Comp. Springfield, Mass. Spec FW 1630. Stamped on a pad on the back side of the block is what should be a serial number, 105364. Zenith carb.

Any ideas other than it was made by Wico?

I've been around a few onan's and this one does not smell or feel like one. Flat twin design is the only similarity. Pulled the cover off one head and it's looking more like an early B&S? Curved cooling fins and the intake where it mounts to the block have the same style design as a late 80's B&S flat twin.

To me the carb does not look Briggs and Statton. I do agree that many engine that used Wico Flywheel magnetos had Wico cast into the flywheel which makes me wonder if Wico did not make the flywheel as part of the magneto contract with the engine manufacture. I had an S-7D Wisconsin thay had a under flywheel magneto with the points in a box on the ourside driven from the cam, which had Wico cast into the flywheel.

What you have looks like an OT model Onan. Built back in 1930 to 1945. This is just a guess but that is what it looks like to me.

Leaning towards it being an Onan I remembered I have Onan engine serial numbers on microfiche 1940-1998. In many cases this data shows who the engine was shipped to. Navy dept, Westinghouse, Lincoln etc. Went to fire up my reader and the bulb was dead

Off to feebay for a bulb...........

Pic of My CK10 next to mystery twin. Other than the curved cooling fins not much in common here.
