Holy smokes! What a cool piece

I have never seen anything quite like it.

It was made close to home - have to look into it.

Two years ago I purchased the base of a Tanite grinder at a sale in Kutztown,PA. At the time I did not know what I was going to do with it but the casting and workmanship caught my eye. When I started to clean the 1/4" of grease of the unit, I found it was painted green red and white. I then realized they were the colors of the Italian flag. So I repainted as found to honor the old Italian.
I had a friend make a shaft and I installed numerous pulleys and a fly wheel. I use the unit as belt pulley speed/reducer. Plus I can run two pieces of equipment with one engine. See photo's Tim
PS This unit gets a lot of attention at shows!!

Thumbs up Re: Tanite Grinder

Tim, great redo on the base. I see all the green grass in the photo and can't wait for shows to start again. Thanks for the great pictures. Mike
